LaQuilia Graham

Writer/Editor

About

LaQuilia Graham is a writer and freelance editor with a background in non-profit and human services management. Her 10+ year career expands the fields of education, health, and human services. She has served as a youth & young adult suicidal/homicidal crisis worker, successfully assisted teen girls with personal and academic goal setting & achievement, and supported sexual assault victims as a rape crisis advocate and advocacy program supervisor.

With a childhood passion for health and science, Ms. Graham completed her undergraduate studies at Kent State University (Kent, OH) earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Health Studies with a certification in Non-Profit/Human Service Management. A graduate school drop-out, she briefly studied Health Science at Cleveland State University (Cleveland, OH). In 2015, LaQuilia was also certified by The Etiquette Institute (St. Louis, MO) in Business, Social, and Children's Etiquette.

A reluctant creative and constant learner, Ms. Graham spent her free time dabbling in web design, blogging, and content creation for family and friends over the years.  During her journey to overcoming romantic heartbreak, she sought God for direction in nurturing her true gifts and calling. It was at this time she discovered her voice to write and speak about Faith and Sexuality.  Sharing her own experiences at this intersection, she wrote and published her first book, What Every Virgin Should Know, in 2016. Around the same time, she edited her first manuscript and began her journey into editing and consulting for published and aspiring authors.

Since then, LaQuilia took the leap of faith into editing full projects where she specializes non-fiction works. In 2019 she discovered her gift of poetry and released her first poem “Dear Black Man.” She currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
